TERRANCE ADDISONEnterprise Trust Architecture

The Method

Enterprise Trust Architecture

A methodology for modernizing an organization while preserving its ability to understand, govern, explain, and trust how it operates.

Why ETA exists

Organizations cannot safely modernize what they do not understand.

Cloud, AI, and automation arrive faster than organizations can govern them. Most respond one regulation at a time: a project per framework, a spreadsheet per audit, the same control rebuilt under five names. The enterprise can operate, but it can't always explain itself.

Regulations change. Administrations change. Technologies change. Trust primitives endure.

What ETA does

ETA helps an organization:

  • Understand its current operating context
  • Identify the consequences of change
  • Design trust into systems and decisions
  • Preserve knowledge during modernization
  • Maintain context as the enterprise evolves

For any system, walk the primitives and ask four questions. What must remain true here? What is actually true today? What evidence proves it? What breaks if we're wrong? Close the gaps in architecture, not paperwork.

The hierarchy

Continuous Enterprise Modernization

The objective. Change the enterprise without losing understanding, accountability, resilience, knowledge, or value.

Enterprise Trust Architecture

The methodology for accomplishing it.

Enterprise Trust Primitives

The twelve stable capabilities trustworthy modernization requires.

Enterprise Context Model

The structured representation of how the enterprise operates and changes.

The context model is the lasting asset. It isn't a report that decays in a drawer; it's a living picture of your systems, decisions, controls, evidence, and dependencies. Every enterprise will eventually need one, because AI agents can only act responsibly inside an organization they can accurately read.

What ETA is not

Not a certification, not legal advice, not a compliance checklist, not a cybersecurity product, and not a cloud migration framework. It's an architectural method that connects those disciplines through stable trust primitives, and it doesn't replace established professional standards.
